Maybe it's just the sad state of affairs with LJ that's made me nostalgic, but I do have the urge to start posting now I've moved across to Dreamwidth. My LJ does still exist, I just cant bring myself to delete it. But with those new rules I wouldn't be surprised if it vanishes. I had the journal all imported ages ago, but I've also bruoght a couple of communities across now. Just to archive them really, since neither have been active for several years.

So maybe I will start posting, in less formal ways than on Word Press, which I never felt comfy doing casual sorts of posts on. But for now, I should be editing, Currently working on the edit of last year's NaNoWriMo novel, still called Bring Me the Dead. Action! Adventure! Jojutsu! Sex! Archeology! In space!

comments

Dreamwidth has imported my Live Journal entries. Excellent. Hmm... so what about entries after today? Can one import again and it just brings over new posts and comments? There's no way to crosspost from Live Journal, is there? Scratching head.

ETA And I wonder what happens when I edit this entry?

comments

So the latest Live Journal attack is over for now. But meanwhile I've got this journal all set up so I can switch across at a moment's notice to posting on here.

Been trying to import my LJ entries, though having trouble there. May have to wait a few days until things have calmed down. Meanwhile, back to LJ!
http://becky-black.livejournal.com/

comments

Like other refugees from LJ I've been fiddling with my Dreamwidth account, just in case I need to migrate over here. I don't really want to - me and LJ have a history. And I've got a couple of months of paid time left! There'd be a few people I'd have to nag into coming across too.

I'm hoping that in a couple of days the Live Journal downtime will be an already-half-forgotten memory, but if not as least I have a bolthole.

comments
