So, Live Journal, we meet again at last
Feb. 13th, 2013 01:46 pmI seem to be falling out of love with Live Journal. And I pay for this place! Okay, how about I resolve to post every day? Let's see how long that lasts.
I blame Tumblr and Pinterest. They're both so pretty and glamorous and exciting they have seduced me away from my trusty old friend Live Journal. Of course, this is not a plea for Live Journal to be more like Tumblr. Tumblr. Innovate, don't imitate, I say. Concentrate on your own strengths.
Anyway, here I am, and what am I up to right now. Well I've got two novels in various editing stages that are currently with readers, so meanwhile I'm working on planning for a novella, which I hope to start writing soon, if I can just figure out the right ending for. Also organising guest blog posts, planning a series, editing a synopsis, lots of little bits and bobs. Ooh and I need to get a blog post written up for this weekend. Better get to it!
I'm reading a lot too. I'm rereading Pride and Prejudice, which is great, but then I got freaked out that I was falling well behind on my read 100 books for the year challenge on Goodreads. So I decided to read some shorter ones and downloaded the first five of Jordan Castillo Price's Channeling Morpheus stories, and have finished three of them in two days. LOL. Okay, so they are short, like 40, 50, 60 pages, but they count towards the total on Goodreads. :D I was looking at my books read stats on Goodreads recently and realised you can also see how many pages read that covers and got worried that recent years seemed to be far fewer pages even when the number of books was similar - until I twigged that ebooks are sometimes on Goodreads as 0 pages, since pages don't have much meaning on an ereader.
I might have been attracted to Channeling Morpheus, which is about a Vampire hunter and his Vampire boyfriend, because I'm watching Supernatural right now, so am into that whole mileau. Not that there's any hot sexxin' in Supernatural. But it does have two good looking leads, with lots of angst, who get whumped on a regular basis. In other words the perfect show for me! :D Took me long enough to find it!
